I'm on my last tray (23). I had moderate crowding in my lower arch, and Invisalign has eliminated it. Invisalign does work. However my teeth aren't absolutely perfect so I will ask my ortho to continue treatment until I get 100% perfection. It may come down to a couple of months of braces to get that last bit of perfection, but this was negotiated into the original price ($6000) so it won't cost any extra. The people who said it doesn't work for them even though they wore it constantly, are BS. You obviously didn't wear the trays, and thus your teeth shifted into random positions and the dentist had to take new impressions and start over.

I too had braces and I agree " it makes it all worth it" . If there's no pain, you wont gain anything. You just have to go through the process and stick to what your dentist tells you. :)

Hi, i have two of my back premolars extracted out when i was in younger time, this two premolars are located at the same position at left hand side of my mouth with one at the top and another one at bottom. Due to budget problem, i was refused to do Root Canal Treatment. I am 24 now, and i am planning to do my braces this year. will it be any problem with lost of 2 premolars? I am very regret with my decision last time. *sigh*

Thank you.

I've had Invisalign for a little over a year. I'm completely done with treatment and now into the retainer phase. I had no problems. I understood the lifestyle changes I would have to make. I had a large overbite, a gap, some crowding, and a crossbite. Everything is fixed! I would recommend this to anyone who is willing to make the commitment that Invisalign takes.

Hello, all you young people--
I am 71 years old and about to start with Invisalign. Why? I don't particularly care what I look like, but my bite has shifted such that I am unable to chew my food properly on my back teeth because of the overbite on my front ones. There is a choke hazard in swallowing food which is not fully chewed, so I have no alternative but to get my bite corrected at this advanced age. I wish a dentist had told me years ago that having an improper bite would lead to any number of dental problems down the line. I should have had this correction done when I was much younger, but it's a case of 'better late than never.'

This was a pertinent post. an interesting and well-written article! I came across your post while trying to find a source for dental-related topics. This is valuable information presented in a clear, concise manner. It’s easy to see that a straight, well-aligned smile looks great. But that kind of smile often means it’s also a healthy smile. So put yourself in a healthy state of mind, and take a look at the many benefits of a properly aligned smile. -Yolanda

Ceramic braces can be more discreet than metal braces with the proper attention to cleaning. I've heard many people say that they are also more comfortable, though I personally haven't had both.
