This is an interesting blog and funny too and it’s helpful to the teens who are wearing braces. I don’t think wearing braces will effect your dating because you are not suffering from any kind of diseases. Moreover he/she should be happy that you are going to get a beautiful smile but should be careful while going for dating you should keep your teeth clean.

It shouldnt have a huge effect unless it’s just one night dating. If it’s repeated it normally won’t make a difference from my experience. Interesting post, thanks for sharing

It’s perfectly understandable that someone might have this fear. But as others said, if someone judges you on your braces – especially since they are temporary – you are better off looking elsewhere. Besides, some people, guys and girls, think braces are cute. And remember, once those braces come off, a perfect smile will be what’s left. Braces or no braces, believe in yourself, be confident and look for someone “real.”

I don’t think that wearing braces will affect your dating. I hope he/she will understand you why you are wearing braces. It’s not like you are suffering from terminal diseases which will cut off your social life. The thing is when you go out with him/her make sure your teeth and the braces are clean enough. You have to take care of your treatment in order to make the result a perfect one so that when he/she saw your beautiful smile he/she will come to know about your braces.

I believe it’s important to remember the reason you went ahead with braces in the first place – to feel better about yourself. Also, as mentioned in the post, braces are temporary, you’ll feel so much more confident about dating once your teeth are corrected.

In the long run having braces is definately worth it. Even if it did effect your dating for a year or so, having straight teeth should help with dating for the rest of your life!
