I received my invisalign trays on yesterday. After a day of barely being able to eat because its so painful to remove them I began to find a different way to drink without removing them. My orthodontist told me to try milkshakes for the first couple days but to make sure i rinse my mouth after drinking. The same for coffee. She says that I can sip on coffee with them in as long as I rinse really good afterwards. I sip my coffee through a straw (as with other drinks) making sure that I place the straw in the center of my palate and away from the teeth.

If you do not know where to start or what the next step is in regards to locating a quality dental physician, there are several steps to take in securing the right person for your oral health. The process is not difficult so long as you are thorough and persistent. Dentists rely on good references for their business and many strive to offer exceptional care and protection for their patients. Do the research and ask around and you will soon discover the best practitioner for you and your family. Do not risk the health of your teeth on the first advertisement you see.

I would rather not drink anything that might stain my teeth while I'm wearing my Invisalign. I'd be to worried that my teeth might get soaked in coffee and be more at risk of getting badly stained.

Hi Dojo, you have some interesting articles here. But I see you didn't post anything for a lot of time... did you lose your interest in braces?

Thanks for the advice. Yes, Coffee, cold drinks are some of the factors that can cause stain to the teeth. Invisalign users should reduce the use of coffee as it can decay and stain your teeth and you can't put the Invisalign off while you are having coffee or wine etc. After having a coffee, brushing your teeth each and every time should be avoided because the professional dentist only recommends twice or thrice brushing as it can damage the Gums of your teeth.

If I am wearing an invisalign, I will not have a coffee for the days that I have to wear. After the treatment is over, I can have what ever I like. Any stain on the invisalign aligners will turn dark and our teeth will become yellow so it is important to keep the aligners clean. Well I would take care of the invisalign if I were with my friends outside for party, as we cannot brush our teeth in a public restroom. If I were to consume some drinks, I will take the aligner out before drinking and rinse with pure water to make it clean before putting it back again.

They are kind of hard to get in the first day or two of the new trays, but after that it's very simple
